Don’t stray from neutrals just yet! Imagine if you’re whole wardrobe just white, black, brown, grey, camel and denim? Maybe a little cream of beige if you’re feeling crazy. It makes me feel like I’ve lost so much time trying to have this rainbow color fest happen over the last few years. Remember this, this and this? Le sigh, long live neutrals!
When pairing denim on denim, you all know to wear opposing washes. Dark with dark denim doesn’t work, neither does light with light. I’m sure if you really wanted to pull it off you could. Chances are, you don’t have that kind of time.
If you’re wanting to add a cool western feeling to your outfits, what’s the first step? Invest in a few wide brimmed hats. Preferably, This hat. Go for the versions with a straight brim, unfortunately the floppy ones aren’t in style anymore, plus these ones look more refined.
To counter act a western hat, boots or belt, you can use a button up top and heels to bring in the classy factor. A choker and super fem sunglasses will also do the trick. I’ve rounded up a few favorite chokers from around the web:
I don’t normally recommend putting your hair up when wearing a hat but when you have a heavy set of collars, such as so. You need to them some breathing room. Next time, I’ll opt for some baby pig tail buns. Since the hat sort of pushes down on your hair tie and makes it fall out. #nowyouknow.
I like the idea of a modern watch paired with a cowboy boots or a loud print. Opposites, people, do it! Daniel Wellington has your back for a sleek, no fuss time ticker.
We all know getting the right denim makes a huge difference. You need something that holds your shape. Has the right wash. Correctly placed pockets. Here are a few favorites:
You guys sick of this western thing yet? Because I’m just getting started.
