Tom Boy with a Twist

It’s quiet possible that you’re like me and have been rummaging through your shirt drawer and noticed you suddenly own several crop tops?! This is a strange and uncharted territory for me. I then came to the realization that I haven’t worn any of them yet because I don’t own any high waisted pants. I’m not about to rock a crop top with super low rise pants. A little sliver of skin showing is how I roll. So confession, lately I haven’t been feeling wearing dresses at all. Maybe it’s because that’s the item I’ve been styling the most on here for the last year. We all need a new challenge, right?

For this fit I wanted to do something a little different with more of a boy-ish edge to it. What better way than with blue, black and baseball cap? Generally, if you want to go for a tom boy look you’ll want to add in one or two feminine items. In this case I chose blue heels, a feminine touch while the blue stays with the masculine theme.  Don’t get me wrong I love a cute little baby doll dress. But in my opinion, variety IS the spice of life. I found these high waisted pants on a recent venture to San Francisco. They had ONE pair of this style pants left and they were in my size. Talk about luck and fate! So what do you think of this outfit, way too off kilter for Colour Me Classic?
