Monochromatic Mint

By : haley 5 Comments

So we all know monochromatic colors and layering are in style. And I figured why not try it with my favorite color, mint! I have a gross amount of mint clothing items and home decor pieces. We’re talking mint bowls, towels, pot holders, placemats even my Brita filter is mint! It’s just such a great color for my skin tone. If you have more of a pinky tone try and mix blue-ish hues into your wardrobe, it will help offset the red tones in your skin. The core of the outfit is very soft and girlie so I gave it a little edge with studded heels and a spiky gold necklace. This might be one of my favorite location we’ve ever shot at. First off, we’re having major fires here in Northern California. Which have lead to some amazing creamy golden sunsets. It’s fun to shoot on top of a high location, we drove up 8 windy levels to get this view. I’ll definitely be back here to shoot more often. What do you guys think of the monochromatic trend?

  3. Your outfit is amazing! Mint is one of my favorite colors as well, so this is a perfect look. Your headband is incredible, but then I read it’s DIY. Have you done a post on how you created that? I’m new to your blog and didn’t catch that.
