How to Do Summer Chic

I used to ride my bike by this building every morning, afternoon and evening. It was a decrepit eye sore. Fast forward five years later, it’s been turned into this modern beauty! I had to snatch up the opportunity to photograph an outfit in accordance.
Enjoy me trying to keep my balance in the midst of this stone quarry.
The Look: This is one of those looks that are super basic but quickly falls under your “top 8”. Myspace terms aside, there is something to be said about elevated basics. This was the first time I had spent “money” on a top. I hummed and hawed over it in the dressing room, after a snapchat to a friend confirming I took the plunge. I knew I’d wear it a ton.
Plus, I learned my lesson with buying a cheap under fitted chambray and have never enjoyed wearing it for that reason. If the fit and color are right, do ittttt!
I found these heels in store at Zara a few months back, surprisingly they’re still available online for half price, see here.
For a Summer Chic Look, try these tips:
/ / / / / / / / / / / /
–Go for a lighter color on top and bottom
–Stick with a darker tone for the shoes to keep the weight balanced at the bottom
–If you’re wearing pants, try a v-neck to bring some skin and breathability
–If the majority of the look is white go for a darker toned bag (think: blacks, browns, greys, camel)
top: rag & bone // pants: paige denim // purse: urban outfitters // heels: zara
