Bogle Media Night

By : haley 3 Comments

A twinkle lit dinner on the lawn, DIY wine blending and endless pours of Chardonnay, it was a delightful evening indeed!
Bogle Vineyards invited us out to their property in Clarksburg, for their media night. We took a shuttle bus out to their location, alongside 15 other creatives, writers, bloggers and news outlets.

This was my first trip to their location, I imagine it being great for hosting an event. Next time, I have friends from out of town, I know where I’ll be taking them. It’s a treat to have this spot only 27 minutes way from our doorstep in downtown Sacramento.

Bogle first planted grapes here in the Delta 50 years ago. Today, the 6th generation, Bogle siblings are running their grandparent’s vineyard, business and brand. Siblings, Jody and Ryan were both there for the event to give us a low down on the history, sustainable practices and simply to chat while showing us their gracious hospitality.

We tested several wines, the Chardonnay (best seller), Sauvignon Blanc, Petite Sarah Port (wow!).

I had the chance to meet some friendly local folks on the trip:
Eli of Fine Wine Poet, Ashley Newell, Dan and Allie of Love & Risotto,

dress: jcrew (old) // sandals: soludos or similar // choker: amanda michelle jewlery // hat: janessa leone // bag: mansur gavriel

How fun is this video Josiah made for us?! I know you’re impressed with our stellar corking skills…!

Their tasting room is open weekdays:
11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Located at: 37783 County Road 144, in Clarksburg, CA.
*Notes to Know: picnic area, free wine tastings, newly remodeled tasting room
*Cool Factoid: All their wines are barrel aged, a massive undertaking for a winery of their size.
