Baby Shower >> Friend B-day Dinner

day to night look

September brings lots and lots of events to our plates. It can be hard to juggle all of them, let alone figure out what to wear. Yesterday, I had a baby shower and then an hour later a friend’s bday dinner, both in different towns than my own. So I had lots of travel time between events. The night before I had to prep all my gifts and home made designed cards (come on, you know I’m a graphic designer). The key to transitioning these looks from day to night was using the same shirt and out the necklace, skirt and shoes.

I like the girlie floral skirt with a day filled with lots and lots of ladies around who appreciate that kind of stuff. While the night outfit I wanted something a little edgier. The spiked necklace vs. the daytime statement necklace did just the trick.

look 2: Jersey Skirt: H&M ($18) // leopard heels: Target ($30) // Purse: Kate Spade // top: Brandi Melville (old)

look 1: skirt: Asos (available in white too) // bag: Madewell // flats: Forever21 (old) // top: similar cut
