White Out

I know, I know it’s fall– I should be wearing plaid skirts, scarves and vests but that’s just not me. I like to stick with grey, whites, blues and light pinks year round. I’ll occasionally dip into the rich burgundy’s and browns. Today it’s all about white, denim, camel and cognac.

I just received this beautifully braided scarf from Lua. All their materials are organic and handmade. I immediately liked the variety of blue tones and the infinity style neckline. I thought it added an extra dimensional piece that can bring any look to life.

I love hats. You’ve probably seen my hat wall here. I noticed I was not into the floppy hats anymore. I wanted one with a thick straight brim. I had been considering one from Lack of Color of Janessa Leone. Instead I found this guy at Forever21 and was surprised it had the brim style I wanted, in a color that works well with my skin tone.

I’ve been through several denim jackets in my “fashion lifetime” if you will. This wash works well for me. I’ve tried the darker washes but I look like an INSTANT cowgirl. The blonde hair + dark denim are just a rodeo waiting to happen. It’s a nice option to have in your closet, if you’re like me and have a lot of dark denim jeans. I love to rock denim on denim but prefer the washes to be different between the two.

I had a lot of questions about these boots on Instagram. I honestly bought them thinking I needed a flat boot that I could just wear around and not worry too much about “getting them dirty”. But now I actually really love the color and fit that they’ve become a prized possession.

Lastly, can we talk about this location that Julia and I found? The morning light + this textural cement wall are a new favorite.

What do you guys think of this outfit? Do you prefer to wear dark tones in the fall?
