Summer Layering

Layering doesn’t end after spring. You can still layer, just think lighter fabrics: linens, sheer, rayon, cotton, etc. Here I’ve used a mock neck tank.

I like the idea of wearing a super low cut top during the day layered over a t-shirt or tank. If you’re going out at night, you can take off the undershirt.

When selecting a top to go beneath the silk cami, I wanted something that would create a different structure or silhouette. The deep v and the high neck create a bold contrasting against each other.

You might be thinking, wow that’s a bit low. Want to know my trick for keeping things in place?

Flash Tape. It’s essential in the summer, priced at $6 on Amazon. I kid you not, this tape has saved me so many times. It also opens up a ton of shirt style options. Since it’s double sided you can stick it on your skin and adhere your clothing. I prefer to 2-3 pieces for the top. One on each side of the bottom point on the v and one at the very tip.

Also these pants are a dream. My first pair of comfy high-waisted Levi’s. They’ve got that stretch you want during summer and the breathability of a lighter denim. No complaints here.
