Dusters, dusters and more dusters. I can’t explain my infatuation with these lately. I love a good exaggerated proportion. High waisted shorts and a floor length duster have my heart skipping a beat.

Have you heard of Normcore? I laughed when I first read about it. Although now, I think I maybe subconsciously creating these types of looks on the daily. Here are some walking examples.

Here’s a quick definition:
Normcore wearers are people who do not wish to distinguish themselves from others by their clothing.[11] This is not to mean that they are unfashionable people who wear whatever comes to hand, but that they consciously choose clothes that are undistinguished – except, frequently, for a highly visible label to impart prestige. The “normcore” trend has been interpreted as a reaction to fashion oversaturation resulting from ever faster-changing fashion trends

It’s fun to create looks that are head turning, over the top, crazy colorful with an overload of textures. And other days you need to relax.
The reason top two reasons I’ll follow a blog or an Instagram account are:
1. high quality imagery
2. Are the clothes relatable? Can I find those same items in my closet?

I think most people own black boots, denim shorts and a striped top. And damn, I really hope these duster aren’t just another fad. Because a coat is a coat, man.
