Hoodies remind me of high school, college, and first loves. It’s that staple piece that follows you through out your life. I can pretend to love a blazer, moto jacket or cardigan but the hoodie is  my first love. You’re going to seen it in more often than those others I listed. Mail man rings, the doorbell…you’re probably in a hoodie. Late night run for food…hoodie! Friends randomly drop by…you guess it…hoodie! On the way to work out class…ok I’ll stop.

I’ve had this navy one for years. I got in from American Eagle in high school. It’s been on almost every road trip, family vacay and sleep over. It’s held up all these years and it’s always been super soft!

These sneakers are unfortunately sold out. I’ve selected 4 very similar styles, I think you might equally like. Here, here and here.

So get off your high horse and embrace the hoodie. You can layer it under a blazer for an office to concert hipster look. Clearly works under a moto jacket as well.

I would recommend trying a pair of high waisted denim topped with your favorite crop top. That little sliver of skin can help balance out an otherwise bulky ensemble.

For my final tip, roll those pants up. Ankles showing can add balance to your look. This doesn’t just apply in winter, see it as a year round scripture.

This post made me feel so nostalgic. I remember how cool hoodies were when I was in high school, and I wish I would have kept more of mine. I got my boyfriend (now fiance) a Ralph Lauren hoodie nearly 9 years ago that he still wears all the time and I love to borrow, so I guess that counts 🙂
