Ladylike to the Workplace
I love blue. I actually wore it as an employee uniform for 7 years. Can you believe that—7 YEARS?! I worked at Best Buy through out high school, college and wee bit after college until I found a big kid job. So needless to say, the color lights up an old spark for me. This pattern on the dress is called damask—I feel pretty fancy for knowing that thanks to my mama! She is major interior design nerd. I love to quiz her on different architecture and design terms. She never fails! dress: c/o Joules // trench: similar // bag: similar // heels: similar // A view from the alley where we were shooting. It looks much prettier looking up rather than where we were standing. We actually had to wait in the car to give a bum privacy while he finished peeing before we could start shooting. Oh, Sacramento! This dress works for a more curvy body type, it tapers in at the waist and hits right above the knee. It’s a very traditional cut but feels modern of the colour vibrancy and pattern play. And seriously, how can you be disappointed with a dress that has a jeweled peter pan collar?! I will show off more of it once I get it tailored. I’m working on making more work place friendly outfit ideas for you guys. We’re in the process of re-designing my website and will soon have functioning categories to chose from. (think: casual, party, work, weekend, etc). Yay!
