Fuchsia + Mustard Yellow

dress: Gap (similar here & here) // Trench Coat: Forever21 (old but simliar here) // thin leather belt: $1 thrifted // floral belt: Target (old) // heels: similar here   I changed up the color of my hair a bit. It has less yellow and red tones and more blue  and gray tones. What do you think? I thought it was a subtle change but on NYE most people noticed immediately. I was inspired my Sara Rash’s hair tone, one of my favorite blogs as of late.   I’d like to welcome the new year with a dump of color. I try and hide my love for hot pink/fuchsia but I can’t deny it’s a great color for blondes. Don’t be scared to rock some bright hues during the dull winter months–sometimes it’s just what you need to brighten your attitude. For this look, I tried out two belts and seemed to work without adding too much bulk. If you don’t own a shift dress yet, it’s time to make the leap. They look great on so many different body types. Real Simple has an article on making shift dresses work for every shape, check it out here.   I don’t have any real “resolutions” this year. I prefer to make daily/weekly goals, they’re much more attainable for me. Here at CMC, we just want to explore further into our style while inspiring you to do the same with yours! Happy 2014!

I love the new hair colour! I noticed something was different, but didn’t know exactly what until you mentioned it.

It’s really awesome to rock the bright colours in the winter. I never think to, but wonder why I feel so “blah” when I look at my closet!
