Dots & Daisies

It was a cool evening, the boyfriend and I decided to go to dinner. I picked a look that is some what casual. The platform wedges give the look some edge. I probably wouldn’t wear this on a first date but hell the boy and I have dating for 3.5 years I think at this point, he can handle my large and in charge shoes.

I purchased my second pair of high-waisted pants last week, after being super satisfied with the first pair. It’s nice to have a pair of pants that hit at the actual waist line. They do eliminate the muffin top but aren’t extremely forgiving for those lacking a behind. For the curvier body types, try a wide leg pant. For petites, try a tailored pant leg with heels. Have the pant leg end right below the foot, you want to avoid having the pants hide your whole shoe. High-waisted bottoms work great with a cropped, tucked in or fitted shirts. Try a top with a higher neckline to help elongate your look. Stick with these few tricks and you can avoid the forever appalling “mom jean” look.¬†Anyone and everyone can wear high-waisted pants. I believe in you.

How do you guys feel about the high-waisted trend coming back around?
